Astuti Competition looking to continue form at AGP

The Astuti Competition Formula 3 team will be looking to continue their impressive form at the non-championship round at the Australian Formula 1 Grand Prix in Melbourne starting this Thursday.

The team will be fielding 4 cars for the Trading Post Formula 3 Grand Prix races with team owner David Borg making a comeback to the Formula 3 drivers seat stepping into the teams third Dallara 304 Sodemo Renault. David Borg will join Kumho Tyres Round 1 joint winners Aaron Caratti and Chris Alajajian also driving Dallara 304's.

The fourth car will be run by 17 year old Formula 3 rookie Sam Abay, Abay impressed many at the first round of the championship by showing he could post competitive times and adapt quickly to a formula 3 car. Abay will again be stepping into the teams Dallara 301 Opel Spiess.

Astuti Competition will be looking at continuing the great form shown last weekend at Wakefield Park after both Chris Alajajian and Aaron Caratti where joint round winners after the two races, with Caratti scoring his first ever formula 3 pole position by taking the two poles and Alajajian winning the first race.

The formula 3 field should be very strong with 23 cars set to show up with Barton Mawer making a comeback to the Australian series along with 2003 series champion Michael Caruso driving for Piccola.
